CASHRA is the national association of Canada’s statutory agencies charged with administering federal, provincial and territorial human rights legislation. Its goals are to foster collaboration among its members and to serve as a national voice on human rights issues of common concern.

In Canada protecting human rights is a shared responsibility. CASHRA provides opportunities for members to exchange information about human rights laws in Canada. Undertaking Making public education projects that promote and advocate for human rights in Canada and abroad.
A SHARED RESPONSIBILITY
The main purpose of this Association will be to establish an effective communications link between governmental agencies working in the field of combating discrimination. By making the methods and programs which have proven successful in one jurisdiction more readily available to other agencies, the member organizations should be better able to carry forward their task of maintaining the basic rights and the essential human dignity of all persons in this country
